De choreografie put uit jaarlijkse mash-ups van populaire muziek: snelle tracks die tientallen hitsongs naadloos in elkaar laten overlopen. Anthology doet hetzelfde, maar dan met dansstijlen, internetcultuur en populaire beelden.
Anthology is een dynamische performance gebouwd rond huppelen als drijvende kracht. Zes dansers creëren een voortdurend veranderend landschap op energieke mash ups van popmuziek uit het afgelopen decennium. De choreografie ontwikkelt zich razendsnel en weerspiegelt de structuur van de muziek waarin fragmenten samenkomen tot een doorlopende stroom.
Verwijzingen naar volksdans, ballet, clubcultuur en hiphop verschijnen en verdwijnen, verweven met internetcultuur en populaire beeldtaal. Door herhaling en ritme verandert het podium steeds opnieuw en roept het verschillende plekken en geschiedenissen op. In deze omgeving wordt huppelen een gedeelde hartslag en een levend archief dat generaties verbindt door beweging en herinnering.

Anthology is a dynamic performance built around skipping as a driving force. Six dancers create a constantly shifting landscape set to energetic pop music mash ups from the past decade. The choreography evolves at high speed and mirrors the structure of the music as fragments merge into a continuous flow. References to folk dance, ballet, club culture and hip hop appear and fade, intertwined with internet culture and popular imagery.
Through repetition and rhythm, the stage continually transforms and evokes different places and movement histories. Within this environment, skipping becomes a shared heartbeat and a living archive that connects generations through movement and memory.
